Job Title: Legacy Coffee Team Member
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Barista & Kitchen Team Member to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving exceptional coffee and beverages while also assisting with kitchen operations, including food preparation, table service, and general upkeep. This is a customer-facing role that requires a friendly personality, attention to detail, and a passion for creating a welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and customer seating areas.
Kitchen Operations:
Assist with food preparation, including assembling simple dishes, baked goods, or grab-and-go items.
Maintain stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and food items, ensuring proper rotation and freshness.
Provide table service when required, including delivering food and drinks to customers.
Handle point-of-sale transactions, including cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
Customer Engagement:
Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Take and accurately fulfill orders while making recommendations based on customer preferences.
Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and courteously.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Keep the shop area clean, organized, and stocked, including tables, counters, and restrooms.
Follow health and safety regulations for food handling, hygiene, and workplace safety.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a barista or café role is great but not required; training will be provided.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Basic knowledge of coffee, tea, and food preparation is a plus.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
